Leading Remote Teams in Times of Stress, Part 5: Developing Guiding Principles (Video)
Guiding Principles are MORE useful than rules in times of change because they help people know what to focus on, rather than just what NOT to do. Set Guiding Principles for yourself and agree on Guiding Principles for your team. They should address pressure points in the team where things, or people, could get out of alignment. Make them short and easy to remember and explain. Guiding Principles should address the next 30-60 days and the team should revise them as needed.
Watch this video for best practices on how to use Guiding Principles to help your team in times of stress.
